Founded in 2000, Freshco is a seed and planting material company based in Nairobi, Kenya. As a member of the Seed Trade Association of Kenya (STAK), they specialize in a variety of products, such as maize (corn) seeds, vegetables seeds, Drought Tolerant Crops seeds, and tree seeds. The company primarily sources its germplasm from Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI), International Centre for Maize and Wheat Improvement (CIMMYT), AATF, and other CGIAR organizations, under Material Transfer Agreements (MTA). Additionally, they obtain vegetable seeds from renowned world breeders, seed producers, and suppliers. Freshco is dedicated to serving the farming community in Kenya, as well as the East and Central African (ECA) region.
