Capacity Africa Institute was established in 1999 .The organization was formed to address capacity building needs among development organizations in Africa. The organization has over thirteen years experience working with development partners in capacity building in South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Congo, Somalia, Tanzania, Cameroon, Burundi and Rwanda. We have trained over 4000 development workers in various developments related thematic areas.
We have further conducted over fifty participatory mid term and end term evaluations in the region. Our package is results-oriented and hands-on, enabling our trainees and partners to learn and apply the skills gained on conclusion of the exercise planned. One of the key reasons why there is no meaningful development in Africa is is the lack of capacity by communities to implement sustainable programmes. Capacity Africa Institute values the communities we work in as engines and classrooms for knowledge dissemination. Through our training arm, we deliver training programmes to civil servants, development workers and young people. Our training techniques ensure that knowledge dissemination is a continuous process, from the young to the old, from school going young adults to professionals.
We are known for being practical, focused, and results oriented. We aim to provide flexibility in our services in order to meet the array of needs and constraints facing public sector and private organizations today.
