Tax Justice Network-Africa - Nairobi, Kenya

Tax Justice Network-Africa (TJN-A) is an ambitious Pan-African initiative that was established in 2007 and is part of the global Tax Justice Network. TJN-A works to ensure that taxation systems in Africa are socially just, democratic, and progressive in nature. They advocate for pro-poor tax policies and the strengthening of tax regimes in order to increase domestic resource mobilization. TJN-A is also dedicated to raising public awareness about tax-related issues in Africa through networking with member organizations throughout the continent. By doing this, TJN-A is committed to highlighting the importance of taxes as a development tool, improving democratic governance, and unifying the efforts of civil society organizations to tackle tax-related issues.
