FSD Africa - Nairobi, Kenya

Established in 2012, FSD Africa is a £30 million financial sector development program based in Nairobi, funded by UK aid from the UK Government. Its mission is to reduce poverty in sub-Saharan Africa by creating efficient, robust, and inclusive financial markets. FSD Africa acts as a market facilitator by using its resources, expertise, and research to address market failures and produce lasting results. Its mandate is to work on both 'financial inclusion' and 'finance for growth' across the region. In addition, FSD Africa serves as a regional platform, encouraging collaboration, best practice transfer, economies of scale, and coherence between development agencies, donors, financial institutions, practitioners, and government entities involved in financial market development in sub-Saharan Africa. This includes providing strategic and operational support to the FSD Network.
