The Valuraha Trader is an online trading platform that models the Nairobi Securities Exchange and the wider financial environment. With this platform, users are able to interact with a realistic simulation to gain practical experience and access relevant market data to inform their investment decisions. It is initially targeted at high school and university students, aiming to boost their financial literacy by providing a practical learning tool to supplement their current curriculum. The Kenyan Government is committed to enhancing financial literacy among learners in educational institutions, as evidenced by the Capital Markets Authority. We are therefore providing a solution that meets the needs that have been identified. Our ultimate goal is to transition from virtual trading to actual trading and to increase the uptake of financial instruments.
