Company description

The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) is a State Corporation under the then Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology established by an Act of Parliament (Cap 213A) in 1995. HELB is tasked with providing affordable loans, bursaries and scholarships to Kenyans pursuing higher education in recognized institutions. As the leading financier of higher education in Kenya, the Board is responsible for sourcing funds, setting up, managing and awarding loans, bursaries and scholarships. Additionally, the Board is mandated to recover funds loaned out to Kenyans in the past.
