St Augustine's Catechists' Training Centre - Nyeri, Kenya

St. Augustine's Catechists' Training Centre is a private religious institution owned by the catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri. It was established by the Consolata Missionaries in 1904, only two years after their arrival in Kikuyu land, in the central part of Kenya. It offers catechetical Training to Candidates from all the Dioceses of Kenya and even outside Kenya. Its purpose is to give spiritual and doctrinal formation to Catechists, and therefore enabling them to become efficient, effective and credible co-workers with the ordained ministers, in the mission of evangelization.
