Dubai Bank (K) Limited is a major commercial bank of Kenya, with the initial licence having been granted in 1982. The main branch at Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi was originally started by Bank of Oman Ltd which later transformed into Mashreq Bank Plc. The assets and liabilities of the Bank were completely taken over by Dubai Bank (K) Ltd in 2000. The Bank has exhibited strident growth in business after the change in management and identity in 2000.During the year 2004, the Profit before Tax grew by 263% from Kshs 8.5 Million in 2003 to Kshs 30.9 Million. The Deposits from customers increased by 19% and the Credit portfolio grew by 26% in 2004.The total business mix of the Bank crossed the Kshs 1 Billion mark in the last year.The year 2005 saw record results with Deposits increasing by 49%
