Two weeks ago, the bus company gave me a ticket stating the travel time to be 7am. The night prior to the travel, they sent a text saying that the bus would leave at 11am instead due to unavoidable circumstances which is understandable. The morning of, at 8:30 someone called very unapologetic telling me that the bus is leaving. (This was in Nairobi). Today, I was leaving Kampala and once again they sent me a ticket stating 6pm . At 5pm someone calls still unapologetic saying that the bus is leaving. Mind you I was in the other side of town coming from a different bus as I was traveling from elsewhere.
My point is, this is a bus company, you work with time. You cannot expect people to drop their schedules which they have organized according to the time you have told us and tell us to arrive an hour or hours earlier. People live far. People have other businesses. When you tell them a certain time, KEEP TO IT!
If there’s any changes, communicate earlier! Circumstances happen and I understand that but communicate in time and tell the customers of the changes. Do not just shout at someone over the phone asking them where they are and that the bus is leaving yet you’re the ones who’ve caused the confusion.
This is a very simple problem you can easily work on. Work on it.
