Mukuru Slums Development Projects – MSDP is a locally registered Non-Governmental Organization in Nairobi, Kenya. It was founded in 2002 with seven community based organizations merging. In 2006, the seven CBOs were registered as MSDP. MSDP operates within Mukuru slums and the adjoining areas. It intervenes through various initiatives and programmes in assisting the poor and vulnerable residents in improving and empowering their lifestyles. MSDP exists to provide holistic and integrated services with the view of reducing poverty among-st the inhabitants of informal settlements, by focusing on the (basic physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being) and empowering disadvantaged communities with skills and capacity to be in charge of their own development.
