Sare Millers is a manufacturing company that uses agribusiness to promote social and economic development of farmers. They have implemented the Boresha Maisha na Kuku Kienyeji program, which has been well-received in many areas. The program is focused on commercializing the local poultry sector to assure its success. In addition, Sare Millers works in conjunction with Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) and Technoserve through the SPADE program to bolster the local poultry industry. As part of this agreement, Sare Millers is responsible for producing quality feed for the local birds, commonly known as “Kienyeji Mash”, to promote growth and mature birds for maximum production.
