Question for Barclays Bank of Kenya Ltd -Queensway Branch


I hold an account with Barclays Bank. I deposited a cheque on 15th February 2018 and the teller misposted and credited the Drawer yet my account details were written at the back of the cheque. on inquiry i was advised either I have to follow with the drawer to re issues another cheque of request the banik to recall the cheque in writing which would take a while. Why wouldn't the bank correct their mistake and make the followup? Why take me through such an inconvenience?
