We are inviting applications for a Procurement and Logistics Staff member in Mombasa, Kenya for our soil improvement project. The role involves managing procurement activities and overseeing logistics for timely and cost-effective delivery of construction-related materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for construction materials and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Issue and track purchase orders, ensuring materials are delivered as planned.
- Plan and oversee transportation schedules, liaising with customs for smooth import/export processes.
- Manage and audit on-site inventory to optimize resources.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and evaluate their performance to boost service quality.
- Compile procurement, logistics, and inventory reports regularly.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and knowledge of Kenyan procurement regulations.
- Ability to travel as needed, with a valid driver's license.
