Job offer: Assistant Internal Auditor

YMSL, modeling its operations on the Grameen Bank, focuses on providing financial services using a group-based lending approach in Coastal Kenya, primarily targeting rural and peri-urban areas. Our credit officers facilitate weekly or bi-weekly meetings with clients, the majority of whom are located in remote villages.

• Conduct risk assessments across the organization to identify significant risks related to internal controls, compliance, and financial accuracy.
• Offer recommendations on business risks and operational improvements.
• Ensure thorough documentation of work plans and audit findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide expert assistance in audits and investigations, and keep updated with Microfinance audit trends.
• Lead external auditors in selective audits to maintain guideline adherence and participate in Audit Committee meetings.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, with a minimum of CPA 3.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role in a Microfinance setting, showcasing expertise in risk management and audit report generation.
