Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and houses the last three remaining northern white rhinos. Additionally, it is the sole location in Kenya where chimpanzees can be seen, thanks to a sanctuary aimed at rehabilitating animals rescued from illegal trade.
Role Summary: The Senior Officer, Human Capital will develop programs and policies to enhance employee well-being and the overall work experience. This role requires efficient management of HR operations and collaboration with the Head of Human Capital to maintain an excellent workplace environment.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance employee engagement through surveys and recognition programs.
- Promote diversity and inclusion by coordinating hiring policies.
- Manage employee discipline following organizational and legal policies.
- Oversee staff welfare facilities and conditions.
- Support health and safety initiatives while ensuring legal compliance.
- Foster positive union relations in line with CBA.
- Facilitate learning and development programs across the organization.
Qualification: A university degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent, along with a higher diploma in HRM or CHRP.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years in HR within a large organization, with experience in CBA negotiations. Must be a certified member of the Institute of Human Resource Management.
Skills: Strong communication, reporting, negotiation skills, and knowledge of Kenyan labor laws are essential.
