Job offer: Post-doctoral Research Scientist

The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is recruiting a Post-doctoral Research Scientist for its office in Dakar, Senegal. This position involves developing research proposals, conducting statistical analysis, and leading research projects. Key responsibilities include obtaining ethical approvals, overseeing fieldwork, developing reports, and engaging with policy. The candidate should hold a PhD in a relevant field, have post-doctoral experience, excellent quantitative and proposal writing skills, and be fluent in French and English.

• Lead the development and management of research projects.
• Provide methodological support and statistical advice.
• Develop and oversee fieldwork and training manuals.
• Ensure timely implementation of field activities and engage with community education.
• Publish research findings and represent the Center in forums.
