Africa Harvest Biotechnology Foundation International (Africa Harvest), a non-profit organization founded in 2002 and headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, is looking for a procurement and supply chain management professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and manage contracts ensuring value, quality, and delivery terms with input from various departments.
- Coordinate procurement plans, monitor implementation, and maintain compliance with purchasing policies.
- Lead vendor selection, conduct evaluations, and manage vendor relationships to ensure effective performance and compliance.
- Handle inventory management and implement strategies to optimize stock levels and costs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies, mitigate risks, and manage compliance documentation.
Operational and Administrative Roles:
- Facilitate contract implementations and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Provide timely reports for decision-making and manage quality assurance processes.
- Support administrative tasks including managing executive schedules and travel.
Educational & Professional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional qualifications and membership in procurement bodies beneficial.
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement within a non-profit, including supervisory roles.
