Africa Harvest Biotechnology Foundation International (Africa Harvest), a non-profit organization founded in 2002 and headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, is looking for a procurement and supply chain management professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and manage contracts ensuring value, quality, and delivery terms with input from various departments.
  • Coordinate procurement plans, monitor implementation, and maintain compliance with purchasing policies.
  • Lead vendor selection, conduct evaluations, and manage vendor relationships to ensure effective performance and compliance.
  • Handle inventory management and implement strategies to optimize stock levels and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies, mitigate risks, and manage compliance documentation.

Operational and Administrative Roles:

  • Facilitate contract implementations and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Provide timely reports for decision-making and manage quality assurance processes.
  • Support administrative tasks including managing executive schedules and travel.

Educational & Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional qualifications and membership in procurement bodies beneficial.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement within a non-profit, including supervisory roles.
