About the Program: The WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities aims to transform urban areas into compact, connected, resilient spaces promoting health, accessibility, and prosperity. Key focus areas include Integrated Transport Systems, Zero Carbon Buildings, Livable Neighborhoods, E-Mobility, Water/Heat Resilience, Air Quality, and Climate & Energy Action Planning, supported by Data and Urban Finance.
Job Highlight: Under the supervision of the Kenya Country Representative, you will manage grants and finance alongside providing program administration support. Responsibilities include budget development, financial reporting, tracking expenditures, and handling complex, international grants.
Main Tasks:
- Maintain and update project budgets using WRI’s software tools.
- Develop proposal budgets and manage financial documentation.
- Independently handle financial reports to donors and coordinate financial management for events as needed.
- Support operational activities including timesheet guidance and new staff financial orientation.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a professional qualification like ACCA or CPA.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial management within a nonprofit or international setting.
- Proficiency in English with additional languages being advantageous.
